Dan...adalah lebih afdal ditambahi dengan kata-kata Warahmatullahi wabarakatuh. Maksudnya, Semoga anda dicucuri rahmat dan keberkatanNya, bukannya kata-kata seperti Selamat Pagi, Selamat Sejahtera, atau Askum atau Akum seperti dalam mesej pesanan ringkas di media sosial seperti Whatsapp, FB dan sebagainya. Perkataan Salam dalam bahasa Arab itu bermaksud Sejahtera dalam bahasa Melayu. Namun, perkataan Salam yang merupakan As-salam, salah satu daripada 99 nama Allah yang membawa maksud "Yang Maha Sejahtera".
Entri kali ini masih mengenai negeri Perak. Selepas Taiping, kita ke Kuala Kangsar pula. Bandar diraja yang terletak bersebelahan Sungai Perak. Dari sinilah segala pentadbiran Sultan dan Residen bermula.
Pengenalan
DAERAH KUALA KANGSAR
Terkenal sebagai Bandar Diraja, Kuala Kangsar merupakan antara lokasi bersejarah utama di Negeri Perak Darul Ridzuan. Terletak kira-kira 48 kilometer di utara Ipoh, bandar ini bukan sahaja kaya dengan warisan dan sejarah, malah menawarkan pelbagai tarikan pelancongan serta produk tempatan daripada industri kecil dan sederhana (IKS).
Asal-usul nama Kuala Kangsar dikaitkan dengan Pokok Kangsar yang tumbuh di tebing sungai. Terdapat juga versi lain yang menyatakan ia berasal daripada sebutan “Kuala Kurang Sa,” merujuk kepada 99 anak sungai yang mengalir ke sini, satu kurang daripada seratus.
Kuala Kangsar boleh diakses dengan mudah melalui Lebuhraya Utara-Selatan (PLUS) menerusi Exit 143 Persimpangan Kuala Kangsar, jalan persekutuan, serta perkhidmatan kereta api Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB).
Sebagai daerah perbandaran, Kuala Kangsar kini ditadbir oleh Majlis Perbandaran Kuala Kangsar dan merangkumi beberapa pusat pertumbuhan utama seperti Bandar Kuala Kangsar, Sungai Siput (U), Padang Rengas, Pekan Manong, Pekan Sauk, Karai, Pekan Salak, Lintang, dan Lasah. Bandar Sungai Siput (U) pula merupakan pusat pertumbuhan kedua terbesar di daerah ini, dengan pertanian sebagai sektor ekonomi utama. Dengan kepelbagaian tarikan serta kepentingan sejarahnya, Kuala Kangsar terus menjadi destinasi pilihan bagi pelancong tempatan dan antarabangsa.
